Now on Twitter!

OK, now I can hang with the cool kids!

Thanks to Mr. Chris Toohey inviting me, I have now been exposed to another aspect of social networking -- Twitter!  And by the looks of it I am the last one in the world to do so.  :-S

I have added some of you to my "Follow" list (sounds kind of like stalking) and will be adding more.  So if you want to find me (besides here) drop by https://twitter.com/BigMutant.

1 Brett Patterson      Permalink Well, you're not the last one in the world. This is yet another one of those things that's on my list to go check out. The more and more I hear about Twitter, the more I think I need to go check it out sooner, rather than later.

So, fellow Yellow-Bleeders, or, more specifically, Yellow-Bleeders that read blog comments, should I be making this a priority, or can it wait. In other words, what's in it for me?

2 Michael Smelser      Permalink @Brett - That's what I originally thought, but then I saw more and more people I knew on it so I gave it a shot.
What it did for me is this (and I've only been on it 2 days now). Working with a contracting firm puts you out of touch with the rest of what your co-workers are doing, especially if you are on long-term contracts like I am now. Also, new people that I have met during Lotusphere and are half-way around the world can seem a little closer.
So I signed up, installed TwitNotes on my 8.0.1 Notes client and (as long as they post it) I can see what is going on outside my small world.
