We had a report of this from another customer in the 'Meet the Developers' lab. We looked at the NSD from when the estimator appeared hung and in their case it was trying to open a MIME message and hit a problem that is already fixed in 8.03 and 8.02FP1.
We are testing a new version of the estimator that does not do the
MIME->CD conversion during note open since we aren't interested
in that part of the note. Should be posted on the DominoWiki site
within the next few days.

Good to see the % you listed! Have you already implemented the
8.0.1+ compression?
Chris, Thanks for the link. I'll have to download it and try. I'll post wether it fixes my issues or not. Also, yes, we've already the databse design & document data compression. These results were
strictly for the 8.5 DAOS.
Version 1.1 of the DAOS Estimator is now available for download and addresses this problem. Sorry for any inconvenience.
