I was cleaning up the man room a bit this weekend and decided to take a picture of my toys.

I'm curious to hear how that red strat sounds lol ;)
I have 4 "toys" myself. Here is a link to my
Jackson and Les Paul and here is a
G&L ASAT I also have a Takamine
acoustic .
May have to get some more sometime (if I can persuade the wife that
I need a gretsch and/or a g&l strat clone...) Although that
Rich' you have looks pretty tempting too. The guy who used to lead
our worship band at church actually has like 33 guitars.
Is that an AC-30 you have there? I just have a small practice amp
and generally just play live through a PodXT Live direct into the
house system.

The red strat has a very open, airy tone. It sits quite low in the
mix. ;) I'm thinking of putting some Tri-Sonics in it to make it a
poor's man's Red Special.
Your collection is pretty sweet. Not having a P90-equipped guitar
is the big weakness in my stash right now, so I'm looking to add
either a Les Paul Junior or an Epiphone Casino.
If you look closely, you can see that I ripped the humbuckers out
of the black Les Paul and replaced them with TV Jones Classics.
It's a wild change from the ceramic 'buckers that were in it
initially. Think Pete Townshend circa the early '70s. The burst is
a 2000 R9 with Timbuckers. It's probably my favorite, but that
changes often.
The amp is a Hayseed 30, a clone of an early '60s AC-30. More info

3 Chris Whisonant Permalink Very slick! Yeah, I don't have a P90 equipped guitar either - although if you back off the tone on the pups on my ASAT it has a decent resemblance to P90s. But leaving them on full tone gives you plenty of tele twang. Kind of the best of both worlds. I honestly think that the ASAT weighs MORE than my LP - that thing is stout and full of tone! The LP is an 04 and I have weighed it at over 10 lbs, so it's not chambered as much as some of the newer ones.
Your idea on the red strat sounds great and I'll definitely have to
check out the Hayseed amp some more. I almost got an Epi Casino
years ago but got a white Epi LP Custom instead. It was nice (and I
put Gibson '57 Classic pup in!), but it's no comparison to the
Gibson Standard I have. ;) The Casino is still a good guitar - it
may fill out your collection more than an LP junior by giving you a
semi-hollow. :)
