Hello,
I need you help and experience.
One of my users, when she creates meetings, everything is fine, mails are sent to people who are invited etc..
Once we passed the meeting date ( for exemple 2 days afters )
Everyone is receiving " FirstName LastName has cancelled this meeting"
The user said she did nothing ( yes it´s a girl so we are not sure lol ) but we did two tests actually and she is overseas so ...
She is using 6.5.3 ( Maybe it can help )
Any ideas ?

Hello,
I started to read a book (600 pages, only in french ... but im french lol) written by Jean-Francois Rouquié ( He is French and CLP/CLI ,IBM consultant etc... )
And i learned that in theory, your server can use a very long name and contening spaces.
But as most of us use TCIP/IP, this name has to be correct and not exotic !!! ( Except, il you like Netbios ....... lol )
That means :
15 caracters MAX
No spaces
Only A-Z , a-z, 0-9 and - (dash) should be used
First Name :
No Spaces
You can use - or _ if needed
Ex : Anne-Sophie or Anne_Sophie
Last Name :
No Spaces
You can use - or _ if needed
Ex: Anne DE-LA-HUCHETTE (sounds really french hum ? LOL)
Ex : Jose JAMIREZ_MARTINEZ ( most of spanish people have and use their 2 Last Name (from father and mother), it´s written on their id cards.
Normally First Name + Last Name should not be longer thant 24 caracters.

Nothing special happened today @ work, i just had to train a new comer.
But anyway, let´s go for the daily tip
Set this server notes.ini variable, like so:
> set config CLUSTER_ADMIN_ON=1 (even if the server is not a in cluster, doesn't matter).
No need to restart the server, it becomes active immediately.
This enables this new command:
CL COPY sourcedb targetdb
Examples for the CL COPY command:
> CL copy serverA!!db1.nsf serverB!!db2.nsf
This would create a regular non-replica copy of db1.nsf on serverA as db2.nsf on ServerB
> CL copy serverA!!db1.nsf serverB!!db2.nsf REPLICA
This would create a replica copy of db1.nsf on serverA as db2.nsf on ServerB
> CL copy serverA!!db1.nsf serverB!!db2.nsf TEMPLATE
This would create a template copy (only design, no data) of db1.nsf on serverA as db2.nsf on ServerB
> CL copy db1.nsf db2.nsf
This would create a regular non-replica copy of db1.nsf as db2.nsf on the same local server

This morning @ Work, we received an alarm concerning several servers.. Down 0_o !
Yesterday night our Delivery Lead worked on a faulty server, her conclusion : Names.nsf corrupted [view´s problem]
What to do?
Set the Lotus Domino Service as Manual
Restart the Machine
Launch the cmd console line and go to the path where nfixup is located.
Do
nfixup names.nsf
ncompact names.nsf -> (recovered like 5%)
nupdall names.nsf
ncompact -C names.nsf -> (recovered 66% Great)
Rename
mail1.box to mail.box.nsf
mail2.box to mail.box.nsf
log.nsf to log.old.nsf
Then
Restart the service and cross the fingers
When Domino is ready, copy the old mails from the old mailbox(s) to the new one(s)
Investigate the old log.nsf

About The Blog
My goal is to pick up on a daily basis an example of what i solved @ Work and bring it back down here.
Because sometimes i do stuff but the following week i can´t remember the problem/solution HAHAHA
I though this platform will be a good idea to keep and share my knowlegdes.
