Hi Peeps, just came across this site, great idea. Now we can actually use Connections and get a real world feel for the benefits that it could bring our company....however......

Is it normal to receive and error when trying to access your profile? Do I just need to give it time till someone at the backend creates it, etc??

Error:

A system error has occured.

1 Ian Bradbury      Permalink You know - I get the same error message. I used the feedback facility to alert them. Unfortunately I've recieved no response - and it's been atleast two weeks now. The shame is that it's stopped me from posting to my blog. I'm not going to post to my blog if people can't find out about me. Good luck

2 Derek Wylie      Permalink Yeah Ian it's a shame as I'd really like to update my profile. Would also be nice to see a bit of LoTus software all work perfectly for once lol. Puts a bit of a dampner on finding the site. Hopefully it'll get sorted though :) ..........just going to go find that feedback link just now.

3 Chris Whisonant      Permalink @Derek, this is a known (by me) bug that I've been working with IBM on. We believe that it is related to the fact that the LDAP server has been upgraded to Domino 8.0.1 from Domino 8.0. I really don't want to downgrade the server, but I may have to do that... :(

@Ian - I haven't seen anything from you on this. Where did you go to submit feedback?

@Ian - by the way, this Profiles/LDAP sync issue should have no bearing on you being able to create and/or post to your blog. Comment back here if it does.

4 Chris Whisonant      Permalink By the way, you both have profiles now. :)

5 Derek Wylie      Permalink Thanks very much Chris!

6 Chris Whisonant      Permalink No problem - turns out it was sort of a "growing pains" issue with some timeouts on the ldap lookup used to sync everything...
