lotus for mail and what ???

dj.cat toulouse |   | Tags:  developer french lotus 8.5 tip | Comments (1)  |  Visits (217)

Thanks to the whole Lotus community for giving me so much materials by blogging and writing since so many years.

Maybe it's time for me to give something back.

I've been developping lotus applications in France for many years now.

what i want to do in my future articles is maybe giving some tips about the new exciting features from lotus 8.5 and think about what can be a good set of applications for a good start for small business.

In fact we always see the same applications given with lotus based softwares  : discussson , collaboration, office library etc .. but for a small company i have seen often that lotus could be the only development platform used.

If a lotus developer is beginning his work somewhere without nothing than the email system already managed i think there are some things to consider :

1/ Starting Point : Human Resources database ?

Description of employees , jobs , links between employees and jobs  , process for recruitement and

This application could be the first database that can be linked to other databases and could be the base for worklows.

Additionally it could be setup as a secondary Addresss Book (jobs could be groups with employees as members in it)

Does anybody already made something like this .. somebody interested about what i have done so far for my RH database on my current work ?

Wait for comments to continue ... see u soon
