Lotus 911 is pleased to announce that registration is now open at BleedYellow.com. BleedYellow is a Lotus Connections site open to all those who bleed yellow. After registering at the site, you will be able to work with all of the components.

• Profiles - "are a directory of the people in your organization as well as information you need to form and encourage effective networks. In addition to basic information captured in a business card format, profiles catalog skills such as technical expertise, familiarity with foreign languages, and areas of interest."
• Communities - "are groups of people with a common interest. A public community is available for all to join, while a private community is restricted to a particular group. A community provides a central spot for users to stay in touch, share information and exchange ideas."
• Blogs - "are online journals you can use to broadcast information to a community in an efficient, dynamic style. In a business setting, blogs let you deliver timely information with a personal touch. Let users know about a product launch. Keep your sales team in the loop. Or spread the word on company events. Get the word out with a blog!"
• Dogear - "a tool for organizing your bookmarks, extends your ability to track online sites that are of interest to you. You can optionally share collections of bookmarks to create a network of knowledge."
• Activities - "provides a new way of Web-based collaborating that lets you organize work around what you are doing rather than what tool you are using. Activity-centric computing lets you organize, share, and reuse work, even if that work involves several types of tools."

In addition to the above, make sure that you connect the Activities sidebar in your Lotus Notes 8 client to the BleedYellow Activities server for drag-and-drop activity creation from within the Lotus Notes 8 client.

Another component of BleedYellow is a Lotus Sametime Instant Messaging server. Don't forget to add the im.bleedyellow.com server as a new community in your Sametime Client (using port 1533) and have a central location to chat with others who bleed yellow.
