After switching to QuickPlaceLoginForm for logins, the login process breaks. When pressing Login, the URL is broken. Has anyone seen this? EDIT: Found the source of the problem. In server document, Internet protocols --> Domino Web Engine --> Force login on SSL must be set to NO
Hi Chris,
I do have SSL enabled and have a certificate installed.
After further tooling around, I found the cause of my problem. If
forcing login on SSL is enabled, this error occurs. Reverting the
value below to no and restarting http fixes the issue.
A PMR is in order!
Thanks for finding my reference. I saw your post this morning and
it looked familiar, and I got sidetracked and then I saw your
comment on my post.
Sometimes, and I mean sometimes, the WHY is not as important as the
Outcome.
One can not expect to master all knowledge and as I explain in my
presentations, if you MUST know WHY something works, find out, but
not at the peril, or expense, of your customer.
But in this case it does not seem to be working as
expected(designed perhaps, but not expected).
I'll add a comment once IBM answers. No harm done in this case as
it is my first QuickR server and I'm playing around!
It is sad that there is nothing in the help file or online re:
Force login on SSL
I will look into forcing SSL on the resources.nsf to see if that
forces logins to be encrypted.
Here's the info from IBM
this issue has been reported before in SPR: RELS7NFNX9. I went
ahead and created a customer report. SPR also has a workaround that
you can implement to get around this issue. Please follow the steps
below:
The problem seems to be with the QuickPlaceLoginForm in
resources.nsf, more specifically the <> (scroll to the bottom
of the form and click on Computed Value).
Removing the parts in red below resolved the issue.

Here is a technote that talks about the "Force Login to SSL"

A tag is a keyword that is used to categorize an entry. To view the entries with a particular tag, click a tag name or enter a tag in the box. The tag cloud indicates the frequency of tag use. Popular tags appear darkest. The slider control adjusts how many tags are displayed in the tag cloud.

Curious as to why the last screenshot is redirecting you to https - do you not have that port open or a cert installed?

Just found this link explaining the same exact issue I experienced!
