Sent mail still showing in All Docs even though sent folder is empty

Patrick Picard |   | Tags:  cleanup mail | Comments (1)  |  Visits (547)
Yesterday, I upgraded my client to 8.5 and I applied the 8.5 template as well to make the client look better.

As I am playing with the client and doing some cleanup, I
  • Deleted all sent mail
  • Emptied the trash
However, when looking at the all documents view. There are plenty of sent mail still there. Also, they don't have an associated folder.
For the sake of cleaning up, If a sent mail is not filed away....I dont want it. those are cluttering my mail file.

So to make it easier to find all those pesky ones....I figured I'd modify the All Docs view to allow the Folder column to sort....so I can find all the ones without a folder easily.....well it seems that the info in that column cannot be sorted.

Looking at the code for that column, the code is
@whichfolder

Pulling the help...nothing to be found. So I guess it is not a published function......argggg

I mean, my mail file is about 180MB.....with barely no attachments....so theres lots of garbage emails like this....now multiply that with 1500 users.... :(

You can try holding CTRL-ALT-SHIFT and open the database. Will show the hidden views.

Sometimes stuff gets left behind in the $VIM... views. Delete at your own peril though.
