All my mail servers are now upgraded to 8.0.2.

I completed my last mail server upgrade just now.  Yes, I am brave enough to do it on a Friday!  So all mail servers are now Domino 8.0.2.  I still have my ST, QP, and BES servers to do, but the hard part is over.

Next week I start piloting the client upgrades and the DWA (iNotes) upgrades.  Fortunately 75% of my users are DWA users only.

I'm still waiting for the 8.0.2 "revised" client to be released that fixes the bugs I mentioned here.

1 Steve Medure      Permalink Not sure if your replicating Directories between your mail servers and your ST, QP and BES, but you may want to consider disabling replication of the Directories until all servers are at the same level. I usually do that as a safety measure to ensure there aren't any design conflicts and sometimes ODS version issues. ODS shouldn't be an issue if all are already on at least version 8 or ODS(R48) on all of your servers.

2 Steve Medure      Permalink Have you tried the ultra lite client on an iPhone yet? :)

3 Chris Mobley      Permalink @2 - In fact I just did today for the first time. I borrowed an employee's iPhone. It looked great. Not a lot of features, but basic functionality looked great.

4 Chris Mobley      Permalink @1 - I actually did this during the upgrade. I turned off directory replication before I upgraded the first server. Once the first server and the directory design was upgraded I slowly opened up replication of the directory design to the other 7.x servers VERY SLOWLY, one server at a time. In the end I had not problems on any of the 7.x servers with the 8.x directory design.
