I loaded 8.0.2 on my laptop yesterday. The upgrade went smoothly although I'm still amazed it takes 10 minutes and the progress bar goes across like 50 times.

A tag is a keyword that is used to categorize an entry. To view the entries with a particular tag, click a tag name or enter a tag in the box.
The tag cloud indicates the frequency of tag use. Popular tags appear darkest. The slider control adjusts how many tags are displayed in the tag cloud.
1 Chris Whisonant Permalink Floating buddy list? So are you using the Basic version? The Standard version shouldn't have that at all. Although the error would definitely seem to be one from an eclipse-based plugin.
You may want to uninstall and reinstall to see if that helps. Also,
go to Defraggler.com and
use it to defrag your Notes Data folder. After I install 8.0.2,
there are over 2,000 fragmented files in the Lotus/Notes
folder...
With 8.0.2 Standard, I can login and open my mail within 15
seconds.
2 Chris Mobley Permalink I think I have found what is causing this. A thread over in the ND8 forum http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd8forum.nsf/5f27803bba85d8e285256bf10054620d/41bb575a239ccc10852574b20043de27?OpenDocument
shed some light on it. Apparently if you have a Sametime server
defined in your location doc then it will launch the floating buddy
list. It sets a notes.ini variable $USE_ST_IM=1.
Once I removed the ST server from the location docs this variable
was set to 0, and the floating buddy list no longer appeared upon
launch.
