This is the text for the Communities demo.
Communities lets you connect with colleagues who have common interests.
This
demo will show you how to:
- Find a community that interests you
- View information related to a community
- Join a community
- Click the All Communities tab to see a list of all the public communities in your network.
- Communities are listed with the most recently updated communities shown at the top. You can sort the list to quickly find communities by popularity and name.
- Select a tag in the tag cloud to display a list of communities related to a specific topic.
- This returns a list of all of the communities tagged with the selected keyword. Click a community name to find out more about it.
- The community overview page includes a description of the community, important bookmarks, and the most recently added forum topics, feeds, and bookmarks.
- The Members page lists the members of the community.
- The Forum page lists the discussion topics posted by members of the community. Every community has its own discussion forum where members can collect and share information.
- You click a topic to view the responses associated with it.
- The Bookmarks page displays the bookmarks shared by the community members.
- The Feeds page lists the feeds that the community is subscribed to. Feeds allow community members to keep up-to-date with information from their favorite Web sites without having to leave the community.
- Click Show details to see a list of recent updates for that feed.
- You click your browser’s back button to return to the community.
- Once you’ve found a community that interests you, joining that community is as simple as clicking a button!
- You can add bookmarks, feeds, and discussion topics to a community after you’ve joined it. You can also e-mail other members of the community.
- You can manage all of the communities that you’re a member of from the My Communities page.
- The My Communities page lists all of the communities that you have joined or created.
